As fall begins to paint trees across the country, you’ve probably noticed the night sky arriving sooner. Luckily, dwindling daylight doesn’t mean your nighttime activities have to be any less active or memorable. With an RV, you can make anywhere your game center, concert hall, or somewhere to soak up nature.
For the competitive ones

To raise the stakes of your evening, get the competitive juices flowing with some games. Start off with a rousing game of charades — nothing gets the spirits lifted like shouting at your fellow loved ones about a random phrase or film. Or better yet, use the night sky to your advantage and play a game of Werewolf with an extra layer of suspicion and mystery.
How to play Charades
1. Select a player to be the first actor.
2. The actor picks a word or phrase to act out.
3. The actor acts out the word or phrase as the rest of the players shout out guesses. The actor can use gestures, facial expressions, and body movements to convey the meaning. No verbal communication is allowed.
4. Once someone guesses the word or phrase correctly, that player becomes the actor and chooses a new word or phrase to act out.
Tips and tricks:
Traditional Charades has some established hand gestures to help players relay information. We’ve listed some favorites below.
Number of words - Hold up the number of fingers that correspond with number of words.
Number of syllables in a word - Place the relevant number of fingers on your wrist.
Small word - Put your thumb and forefinger together leaving a small gap.
Big word - Stretch your hands far apart in front of you.
Sounds like - Hold your earlobe.
Indicate a correct guess - Place your index finger on your nose and point to the person who guessed correctly.
Phrase - Make quotation marks in the air.
Book – Unfold hands in front of you as if opening a book.
Film - Pretend you are operating an old-fashioned camera.
Song - Pretend to sing.
TV show - Create a rectangle with your fingers to represent a television screen.
How to play Werewolf
Choose a moderator from the group who will run the game instead of play.
The moderator secretly assigns the following roles to three different players: Werewolf, Doctor, Detective.
All players close their eyes
When instructed by the moderator, the Werewolf silently opens their eyes and points at one person to eliminate. The Werewolf closes their eyes again.
When instructed by the moderator, the Doctor silently opens their eyes and points at a player to protect (can choose self). They close their eyes.
When instructed by the moderator, the Detective silently opens their eyes and points at one player to investigate.
The moderator tells all the players to “wake up” and open their eyes. Then, they announce who was eliminated. If the Doctor protected the person who was eliminated, the player continues on to the next round.
Players discuss who was eliminated and attempt to discover who the Werewolf is. During this time, any player can accuse another player of being the Werewolf. That player can, in turn, argue against the accusation.
After all accusations have been made, players raise their hand to vote on the accused player that they believe to be the Werewolf. The suspected Werewolf with the majority vote reveals their role. If they are not the Werewolf, they are eliminated and another round begins.
Repeat steps 4-9 until the game ends. The game ends when the Detective investigates the correct Werewolf OR when the players vote on the correct Werewolf OR when the Werewolf eliminates all other players.
For the vibe seekers

Set the vibe at any campsite. The night sky and spectacular surroundings will bring the atmosphere — all you have to do is decorate around it! String up those twinkle lights to create your own dance hall and set up your speaker to make the perfect place to boogie. Whether you’re dancing with a partner, a pet, or yourself, there’s nothing better than dancing in the great outdoors. If you want to take your dance hall to the next level, kill the twinkle lights and break out the glow sticks, turning your dance hall into a glow club! Adorn every camper with glow crowns and bracelets then twirl the night away together.
For the campfire hangers

For those of you who just want to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy nature, we have some ideas. First, get a fire burning and start making s’mores, make sure to take proper fire safety precautions. Once everyone is full of chocolate and marshmallows, light a candle to create a spooky atmosphere. Make sure to grab a stuffed animal, a person, or a blanket to hide behind as your group shares ghost stories that can range from mild to wild. If you’re not into ghosty vibes, lay down on a blanket with some friends for a full night of star gazing. You can even make it a competition of who can find the most constellations from the list below!
A starry backdrop only elevates your RV. So, take every added hour of darkness as an opportunity to discover Greek heroes in the stars, face your fears around a campfire, or enjoy time dancing with your fellow campers.
